As Cynthia’s slightly younger sister, she was often protected from their abusive mother, albeit at the expense of Cynthia’s mental health.
The two would part ways after leaving their mother behind. Tarafii would give her horn-bands to Cynthia as good-luck charms to remember her by - these in turn would later be passed down to Aurora.

As she grew older she traveled around Ukaza, never staying in one place for too long, but still doing her bit to help other dragons being the kind dragon she is. Most notably she spent a great deal helping refugees that had fled Litwa, after the kingdom had collapsed.
Still she believed she could do more, and thus sought out a dragon that could teach her magic. She didn’t have to search for long, as in due time she would meet Eirsavic.
She spent two years training with him, learning every facet of water magic he had to offer.

Throughout her time spent traveling and training, she remained in constant contact with her older sister. Although it could take up to months for letters to reach each other, given the the distance they lived apart from each other, she was glad to see they still came through regardless, and was always interested to know how she was doing.
That was until the letters stopped coming through. Concerned she travelled to Belka to see her, only to learn she had passed away from a lethal illness. Despite grieving the loss of her sister, she would join up with Cynthia’s mate Yuki and the Belkan Free State in their fight against the Catholic Kingdom - she would also become a teacher herself, when she mentored Aurora about magic. Futhermore, she became somewhat of surrogate mother-figure to Aurora, and played a key role in his reconciliation with his father.
She even has a crush on Scorpione, and has much fun teasing her about her self-proclaimed straightness, even though she knows she feels the same way about Tarafii.

Thanks to Eirsavic’s training, she’s become a proficient master of water magic, being fully able to manipulate it in any which way of her choosing - not just being able to swing it around to her heart’s content, but also being able to influence it’s temperature, therefore being able to turn it from vapour to solid ice.
In addition to her water magic’s use in healing, she can also use it offensively and defensively. As she can mold the water into tendrils she can use to strike her opponents, as well as to create shields and barriers for limited defence.
An extension of her magic’s offensive capabilities is an ability known as “blood magic”, where she is able to use her own blood in very much same manner as normal water. This only works if there is an open wound blood can seep from. Also it is extremely risky as it can use up a lot of blood which could potentially lead to her passing out, or death from too much blood loss. Therefore this technique is only used as a last resort, such as when there she is not close to any kind of water source.

Tarafii has always been a kind, energetic and very outgoing. Hardly shy of cracking a few jokes, and offering meaningful advice.
Despite her positive exterior however, she has a bit of a survivor's guilt complex since Cynthia’s passing. Through her letters, Tarafii had been aware of her sister’s depression and day-to-day struggles that came as a result.
While Cynthia held no blame against her for her condition, Tarafii still feels deeply responsible as she always cowered behind her sister and never once defended her whenever Jadithian hurled abuse at them.
She still thinks about how things could have been different if she had been the one to stand up to their mother, and subsequently that Cynthia dissevered more than Tarafii ever got.
For all her regrets, she remains a strong-spirited dragoness, always compelled to help those in need.
