Venastrigids are a diverse clade of dragons that have adapted to fill many niches in their respective world.

Venastrix sp. - Can be male, female or hermaphroditic. Capable aerial hunters, agile and swift in the air they can both hunt and mob other dragons using either their speed and talons like a Peregrine Falcon or their napalm like firey spit that sticks and burns.

Dimorphonea sp. - Dimorphonea Venastrigids are the largest members of the entire clade. Or the females are at least. This base is an example of the female morph! Females of this family are larger, heavy set and cannot -for the most part- fly. They live in the same place all year round while males will migrate to warmer climates with the offspring until the females grow too large to fly, at which point they form small batchelorette groups to bring down prey and protect themselves. They hunt by ambush and charge their prey to hit them with either the massive, heavy wing spurs or by ramming their heavy skulls into them. They retain the fire breath of their more airborne relatives but they most use it in ritual displays or to start fires to make large prey more easy to catch.
