"Nothing is more relaxing than a trip through nature." I can't help but think as I stop at one of the alcoves on this mountain trail- my tail swishing as I reach up and take my helmet off... I've been at it for an hour now. I should probably take a break and get something to eat- I'd reach back for my pack and grimace, realizing I left it in the car in my hurry to make it here...
"Well, that's unfortunate." I'd say aloud as I looked at the nearby stream. "Wonder what the chances of me dying from drinking that is." Better to not risk it.
I'd grumble as I slipped my helmet back on- A frown forming on my muzzle while I turned the bike around- a twig snapping nearby, causing my heart to race.
"Anyone there?" I'd yell out, my ears perking from the holes in the helmet
Then, I spotted him.. a gorgeous wolf with gray and black fur, darker than even the night sky; his brown eyes nearly piercing me as he watched me with caution.
"You look upset. Everything alright?" He asked, his voice gravelly but soft, likely not wanting to spook me further... He is wearing a Park Ranger outfit- his tail even fluffier than mine.
"Yeah, just forgot my provisions... Gotta bike an hour to get them, or I think I'll pass out from dehydration."
The wolf snerks softly and raises an eyebrow as he looks me over, his stern expression softening. "It'll take more than a couple of hours, but it would be uncomfortable... My cabin's nearby. I can set you up with something to drink and a snack; just follow me."
Follow a stranger in the woods.. isn't this the part of the story where everyone reading it would tell me to run? But I'm not the brightest.. and I'm a sucker for puppers... I step off my bike and walk with it- smiling at the pupper while wondering what I'm getting myself into...
