Session 1 of Curse of Strahd was going pretty well until we met Strahd himself. He was content to pass us by until Hestara, our firey half-elf, made it clear to us how "punchable his face is." He came back to give her the chance to, indeed, punch his face. However, Hestara looked to Aranvir, who shook his head. Strahd's attention was then drawn to Aranvir. As Hestara's "superior," Aranvir stared the vampire lord down defiantly. He succeed a wisdom save, but there's no telling if he's safe or not.

He probably is. What could go wrong?
