Ha, I completely understand that. I occasionally try my hand at art - most of the time it's crap, but sometimes I'll have something that looks kind of good in black and white, but the minute I color it in, everything just falls apart. My work almost always looks better unfinished than finished, so I painfully understand your struggle. But for what it's worth, I really like this as a basic sketch and think you should experiment more with coloring. You have skill, definitely more than I, I concede there. I think in time and with a bit of practice at it, you could really make a strong go at it. This work alone proves you've got something very much worth polishing.
