I figured I would start drawing some characters from my lore. Featured here are the legendary birds, immortal creatures who hold the forces of nature.
From left to right:
— Oberon, last of the coppered herons, a long lost species that got exterminated when he was a hatchling. He lives mostly in isolation and dedicates his life to saving endangered species. He’s the thunderbird and can cast thunderstorms.
— Bec-de-Gaz, the stork you all know and love, second youngest of the six. Cocky, manipulating, he’s the king’s councillor. He can cast snowstorms, but later learns to catch the souls of recently dead birds to see if he saves them or not.
— Gideon, leucistic Indian peacock. He can travel the whole multiverse, along more dimensions than we can possibly comprehend, and watches after the flow of time. He can cast sandstorms and couldn’t care less about that.
— Elizabeth, the only female, last of the Haast eagles, the only one Oberon could save, in a cross-species relationship with him. She’s the bird of life, although I haven’t fully figured out what kind of powers she would have
— Zebulon, melanistic black gull. One of his wings is ever so slightly shorter than the other one and he can cast hurricanes. He’s in charge of the sea and land. Over 2000 years ago, he ended a long lasting war of beliefs led by Oberon and Gideon, and with their help, founded an the avian empire.
— Hector, common kingfisher, the youngest of the group. He’s the bird of fire, a messenger who got thrown into a volcano, but came back to life with his powers after all the phoenixes have been gathered and killed at the same time by Bec-de-Gaz, to put all the pieces of the firebird back together.
