so what's that instrument?

it's called a Bard's flail. when the handle is held at the top, it's used as a stringed instrument. When the handle is at the bottom, the base can be turned, loosening a chain or tough string in the handle turning it into a flail weapon. This one is designed specifically to cut with the metal blade on the head
I really should upload some of the weapons I've made to explain it and others I might use in the future

And the thing on her arm is a drum shield combo. The symbol on it is the Lungs of Thunder symbol
