I got bored tonight painting my actual work so I wanted to try painting my gouache a little thicker and mixing it w/ acrylic inks for highlights.

Aww, its actually pretty damn cheap! I'm using cake paints, cost me like 7 dollars on Dick Blick!

The Gouache sets are the 'Opaque' ones. :3 I just have a set of 12. x)
They're cheaper than regular watercolours, for sure!

I use Arches Hot Press blocks ... I think it cost me like 30+ dollars for a 11x14 20 sheet block

I haven't finished it all up yet, I practice on cheaper paper and do good stuff/commissions on that paper. :)
I mean, if you get the -huge- blocks, the price really jacks up ... but beyond that, I get high quality at a cheap price. xD
On the other hand, a full sheet of watercolour paper Hot Press Arches costs me 12 dollars a sheet ... augh. I had to buy 3 this semester. xx;

Very nice. I Kinda' feel like this would be good as part of a larger piece, possibly with the Shiba here having a discussion with some friends around a table... except the Shiba's mouth isn't open. o.o;;; I think it was the position of the paws that made me think the canine was talking. *talks with his hands a lot, so sometimes tends to think other people do as well* ...but yeah. >.> really good work... it's nice to see someone can make something good with paint. I've tried paint. For me, the result makes small children laugh derisively.
