Trying a new direction with my art and moving away from over rendering and catering to as big of an audience as possible with it. I just want to draw cute little anime critters and chibi styles tbh, it just suits my energy and interests much more! I should have never listened to those college portfolio reviewers in high school when they said to stop drawing anime. I’m glad my technical skills have greatly improved in the last 10-15 years, but I just want to keep things simple with my art. It’s MY hobby after all, I will do what I please with it.

THIS IS SOOO CUTE!!!
and, omygosh, I understand you! I mean, I'm able to draw detailed art, but I'm a person who has no too much energy for that, so I usually have only ~3-5 hours to draw something before I feel empty qwq So I found art style that requires less energy and less time to draw. And later I also replaced lineart by sketchy lines, because it requires less time to draw, and difference is veeery small to notice (also, it also looks more dynamic, so even better?)
so I got result that's not hard to me too much and that people like!
your chibi artstyle is super adorable too!! personally, I like simple and cute stuff even a little bit more, so I love it ^^
