A secondary protagonist to “The Greatest Dark” is Prince Kitaki, a warrior of noble birth who followed under a strict path of shinobi teachings but was the opposite of strict in adhering to those teachings. Prince Kitaki did not like training, or stealth but had a natural talent with superhuman agility he earned simply by chasing after the monkeys around his village. Exiled for his unusual approach to centuries of tradition, after the Henna wars broke out he disguised himself to blend in with the beastmen and due to his physical prowess has been able to keep up the charade for months. He comes across the protagonist during one of their frantic runs for their life, and the two have been stuck together since.
