Im sorry to hear that, people can just be so.. uugghh sometimes.. I agree with ToxicToon, def better to have people pay something upfront, just in cases! I know I personally dont start work on anything until im paid (unless its a friend or someone who buys from me often)
Oof that sucks with the bad experiences. ToxicToon definitely hit it on the head. I'd be charging upfront and build up that trust with repeat commissioners.
Though that works only if you do deliver (which you do <3). I've been on the other end of being charged upfront and still haven't recieved a wip in 9 years with one artist.
