Ah man... What are you talking about? xD All of my computers are macs. Modding macs is the only way I fly. It's hard, but it's so awesome when you've got it right. I suppose I could also just modify a distro of linux, but more of my software is supported on a mac.

lol, I was only teasing anyways, my first comp was one of those ooooooold mac all-in-one's from the 80's
I would love to get one of the new powerbooks, and put a Windows shell in it.

Haha. We've got macs from every age sitting around our storage room. My parents collect all kinds of cyber-junk, and I tend to use what's left of it for parts and scrap metal.

Powerbooks are cool. I have two powerbooks and three macbooks; I can tell ya they run quite nice.

Wow. Sounds epic. Reminds me of the first gen G4 powerbooks that had no ventilation solutions to speak of, and if you left it on for more than six hours, the plastic keyboard would melt voluntarily.

God, I hope I never have that happen on any of my equipment. With as much time, sweat, blood, and money as I've put into that mainframe, it would suck ass to see it all end that way. I've spent months programming it right, and it's an invaluable amount of horsepower that I couldn't afford to replace. Damn. @.@ I'll probably have nightmares about it. ...though I have gone to great pains to make sure nothing like that could ever happen. Makes me wonder what happened to yours. Battery gone bad perhaps?

That must have been frustrating. I'd definitely recommend a beefy desktop for things like that. ...go all out with liquid cooling and shit. C: A friend of mine got his 2.8 processor up to a 3.6 that way. Cept on games like Crysis it would glitch out.

well its in storage, but I have a liquid cooled desktop, running a cooling system with mineral oils and liquid helium.
but then again it has a small mainframe attached and the main is running 4 hex-core processors.

Haha, NICE! Surplus is always cool. I have to hunt for places to buy military-grade hardware, as there isn't really a large military presence where I live. :P

there is just a company headquarters for the local national guard guys down the road, they do all sorts of cool stuff, gun shoots, equiptment days where they let us play with some of the unimportant surplus gear, and auctions for new stuff.
