RECAP:
In the previous chapter, a human trainer attacked the Fire Sanctuary and overwhelmed everyone with his carefully trained pokémon, one of which is revealed to be Arlex's own mother, who nailed Arlex's father with a Hyper Beam.

PARTY MEMBERS:
Arlex - This Treecko currently bears a nasty leg injury dealt to him by the sharp fangas of the human's Mightyena.
Mother - Arlex's mom; a Sceptile who's been captured and forced to fight for the human's cause.
Father - Arlex's dad; a Charizard who's been through worse.
Rae - A young Luxio who's been battered by an Earthquake attack, but otherwise only minor injuries.
Aria - The human plunged a Fire Stone into her heart before attempting to capture her, and her body is now burning. Is she even still alive?
Nija - A Ninjask who appears to have chosen to remain hidden rather than risk getting hurt in all the fighting.
