i was trying to think of how a furry would wear a helmet that actually protects their face, and came up with these. some are based on real kinds of helmets- the great helm and the frogmouth helm in particular are little more than slightly adjusted real-life helmets for furs.

the first one especially is based off of next to nothing, with aspects taken from random helmets and my thought of "how would a furry get a helmet on in the first place?" i thought of a top that flipped up, so it would slip on fairly easily. i was going to draw a fencing mask, too, but i didn't have the space, and feel like that would be a little easier to imagine furry-shaped, anyways. the ears are usually folded under the helmet, i would think.

these also served as practice, as for a very long time, i was too intimidated to try drawing helmets and armor, but a friend's art has recently inspired me to try my hand at it. i'm still learning; critique is welcome. : )
