oceanrider got a picture about a week ago of a chakat being attacked by one of the face hugger aliens from the movie Alien, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4866074/ , and so began a discussion on why a chakat-based xenomorph would be a very bad thing, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4890533 .
So leave it to me to draw the OTHER side of the conflict.
Meet Colonial Marine Private First Class, and M56 Smart-Gun user, Chakat Brushfire. Hir name comes from the fact hir stripes are less like stripes and more like brown and red tribal flame designs that cross over hir frame. And I thought normal tiger stripes were hard to draw....
Either way, I like how sie turned out. I went with a beanie softcap instead of a standard military helmet for hir, since I wanted something different than most other Colonial Marines, yet something that Vasquez didn't wear in Aliens. Vasquez wore a bandanna, where this is more like the cap Marcus Fenix from Gears of War wears.
Otherwise, sorry about the details on the gun and armor being unlike the movie. Most of it was done from memory while I watched Justice league, and mostly i was just more interested in drawing something in my new sketchbook than really making it 100% accurate.
I might finish this with some ink, and a lot of coloring, but for now, it's good enough.

Just a sa reference to the gun, if you don't have the Aliens: Colonial Marines Technical Handbook, you should reference the World War II German MG-42, since that was the gun used, and the Steadicam mount used in filming.

Can see it now : *Brushfire overhears on hir radio "Oh god argh there comin out the walls fall back *gunfire* aahh!" Well looks like alpha squads done for told them they should have sent in the androids in as a scout team alright bravos stay frosty and move to evac.
Heh Heh don't worry Brushfire my band of mercs are comin for your Evac and we brought a nuke to give um a nice goodbye.
I don't think shi got a lot to worry about just remember wear your gasmask (dumbass face huggers latch on and die) at all time and use that empathy to pick up on anxious predatory xenos and beside all of us know the space jarheads allways find someway to beat them check any AVP game you'ed see.
