Seb deserved his own hypnotic light, and brilliantly wields it. Each swirling drip as alluring as his own shining gaze.

@^-^@ Very glad you enjoy!
So much has happened since we last spoke, and as fate would have it you were right there are the first steps a journey we didnt even know we had started.
Have long been wanting to sit down and really take the time to review another of your stories when in can, that was fun~

Hmm, yes, I'm curious how Seb the ram has become this gooey serpentine version of himself. Is this a permanent change, or just an occasional shift, I wonder.
Also, what journey are you referring to? Perhaps after we spoke, you have begun a journey into the realm of being a serpent-slime? >:}===<~
~
As for my work, did you have a story in mind, or did you want me to recommend one?

Probably one of the oldest journeys, self-discovery. Or selves-discovery as the case ended up XD. We're plural, and had a literal moment of finding out such a thing exists, turning to each other in headspace and yelling "Wait, you're REAL?!"
Snakes and serpents have been at our core since before we even discovered the internet, but when you're sensitive of other's perceptions and confused about your own, there's a tendency to hide oneselves, made a little worse when you have a penchant for shapeshifting.
Soooo less a change, and more a reveal. Kas still retains his diamondback pattern, Seb's horns and Mendel's feathers were always reflections of their hoods. But hiding is no longer desired, just practice XD.
That and more is why we took the moniker Ophiuchus, this body bears the heads of four slimey snakes, swirling and flowing though one another.
~
I'm about like 2/3 through A Birthday Choice, I forgot how epically long it is, it requires multiple sittings haha. After that was hoping to swing around to your newer ones =O!

Just so you know: A Birthday Choice is just under 30,000 words. But, it only has two sections, I suppose. I think it feels very long because it's so dense.
My cocksnake-focused book from 2016 [Fitting In], is a little over 141,000 words. It's many smaller, more easily digested sections, in 6 large parts.
'BLFC Room Party' (my book from earlier this year) is exactly 111,111 words long, in 10 chapters. Some of the chapters are in smaller, more manageable sections.
Hopefully hearing this is exciting, and not intimidating! :}===<
I have smaller works for you to get through, before any of that comes to pass. In any case, good luck with however you want to explore my gallery.
~
'Ophiuchus' is a lovely name, and a lovely chimera form to show the whole of you.
I'm happy to see your system has some serpentine elements within! :}===<
I wonder how you knew you had snakey aspects, even before getting online!

Oh that is absolutely exciting! Yah the density makes for such an exciting read though, it's just a bit hard to like uh... hold back.
'BFLC Room Party' was probably next on my list, I was curious to see what differences there might be in your style.

Thank you~
Like many little kids, I thought snakes were 'scary and slimy and icky' as well, that's what kids pick up on in the culture. That didn't stop me from thinking Kaa was the best villian in Jungle Book, or really admiring that they would be feared so viscerally or automatically despite their size. It wasn't till the zoo brought in a boa to show the kids around grade 2 that I found myself enamored. I think there were other critters brought in but I don't remember them, I was all about the snake. A little later, Animorphs had a book, The Discovery, the featured morph of which was a cobra, and through the magic of reading got to explore what it was like. That is when we fell in love with snakes. Both the form, and the symbology. Aesclepius learning medicine from watching one care for another. Their widespread representation as rebirth and renewal, and the eternal cycle of life. And quite frankly, ALL THE KINKY STUFF I would find associated with snake scalies over the years.
But then you have not a great homelife or school experience, probably made a little more complicated by being unknowingly plural, and you discover a community of people more like you then anyone you meet in the material realm.
We didn't want to be feared, disliked, villainized. And we didn't feel we had any legitimate claim, that it'd be disrespectful, somehow.
However.... everyone likes dogs, right? Everyone loves dragons. Certainly they love and adore furry woodland critters. No one expects them to be bad, no one will blame their kind for something they do, or blame them for something another of their kind did.
And so we donned our armor.
Shedding it has been a slow process, but we're at the point of wanting to be true to ourselves. Just, uh, takes a little bit more time when all tangled up in it XD.

I'd be very pleased if you jumped straight into Room Party and let me know how it feels, compared to 'A Birthday Choice'. :}===<

I also had a time when a zoo or some similar organization brought a number of reptiles to school, and the (big) snake was of particular fascination. I also read only like.. 3 Animorphs books: the first, the one with the dolphin shift on the cover, and the one with the snake-shift on the cover[!] :}===<
I even came to find that the Greek view of snakes was indeed superior to that of modern sensibilities. That, or Indian views.
I would guess you also liked to watch animal documentaries / nature shows that happened to feature snakes..?
In any case, I can see what you mean, how you didn't want to be the 'scary, unloved' serpent you truly might have had, lurking inside of you.
But, still, given your plurality, you need not eschew your other aspects entirely. You can still be canine or caprine. The gooey nature of that one image of your serpent self makes me imagine that you could claim your serpentine self has always been a goopy entity within the body of one of your other selves.

Oh yah, documentaries and books, I even had a scholastic book form National Geographic about them XD. Then of course all the info you can now find on the internet, both technical and first hand videos of petowners.
I am really glad for the support! and totally agree. We like our other forms and slipping into new ones is always fun. What's really funny is your last idea is pretty dang close to what we were already moving toward, in our own little fantasy canon. Hope to be able to share the finished stuff soon, once this challenge month ends!
