Once, as a child, Shenlong Zhang had heard that his family was descended from the ancient Dragon Clan, which was once one of the most powerful clans in all of China, renowned for their Martial Arts skills and magical abilities.

When Zhang's master, Tai-Fu Chen chose Zhang's rival Kotaro Miyamoto to be his apprentice over him, he sought the Dragon Clan. At the time, he didn't realize what a fool he was. The style he was trained in was nothing more than a shadow of the Clan's true style: A corrupted copy tapping into his long supressed malice.

Zhang thought this style was the supreme power of the Dragon Clan, and used it to attain wealth and power, as well as revenge against the tiger who took his master's favor.

It was not to last though. Soon, Kentaro, son of the man he killed, confronted and defeated him. Although proclaimed dead, he still lived. Being "dead", he had plenty of time to look back on the things he'd. THe ones who trained him were not the clan he heard about as a child. They were nothing more than the worshippers of the evil one who brought the clan to it's ruination.

While he plans to have his revenge on Kentaro one day, he has chosen to first seek out the scrolls written by the Dragon Clan sages, and with them, discover the true power of the Dragon Clan. So far, his style has become less violent than it once was, but still he can only tap into his negative chi.

Is he cursed to be a servant of evil until the day he dies, or will he find a way to redeem himself for his sins?
