The "Felon"-Class Battleship is the replacement of not just one, but FIVE Classes of outdated Battleships, who created a horrible mess for Logistics and Shipyards. "Felon"-Class Battleships use the new "Standard"-System, means all new build Ships use as far as possible same Spareparts and so on. During Wartime, this makes it far more easier for logistics to keep the Fleet running smoothly....as far as possible during a War. Responcible for Design and construction for the "Felon" was the Reysor/Gradon Shipyard Corporation, wich has great experience in building Battleships. The Hull Design was inspired by the "Legacy"-Battlecruiser, but with thicker Armor and more Turrets. Relatively nimble for a Ships her Size, the "Felon" is until now the new pinnacle of Alliance Battleship construction.
"Felon"-Class Ships were thanks to the Construction in sections fastly produced and reached the Frontline fast. The new Battleships, paired up with the new "Basileus"-Class Battle Carrier, were able to slow down the Advance of the Empire, even grind it to a halt in some regions. Some High ups got the impression, with this victorys it was time to launch Counteroffensives and the more levelheaded where ignored. This Overconfidence, turned out to be a big Mistake! As good as the "Felon"-Class was, she soon faced her match over Glandos 9! The Void Born Centerfront Fleet, staggering but not Death yet, launched also a new offensive and so the "Felon" was first time head to Head with her new Archrival for the War, the "Decima"-Class Battleship. Desipte having more Turrets than the "Decima", the "Felon" was armed with LESS Turbolasers per Turret! For some reason, this was normal for Alliance Shipbuilding and never changed in...well... 300 years! Many "Felon"'s got destroyed in this Battle. Worse was the fact, a few even got boarded and one got captured, before it could be scuttled.
It was a bitter lesson for the Alliance fleet, to never get to overlyconfident anymore, even with the new Ships. The "Felon", despite the Tactical Disaster, proved itself and she is now found in every Naval engagment. Even the Void Born, who have rarely any respect for Non Void Born Spezies and their Ships, have a healthy dose of respect for the "Felon"! Void Born Flotilla's were reorganized to have atleast 4 "Decima" Battleships in case there are "Felon"-class Battleships in the Sector...

Well, it is sadly simple. You know, before the War. The Alliance was for a looong time at peace. You could say it was as long at peace as it toke the Empire to become a thing, 300 Years. At the beginning of the hole mess, most Experienced Senior Officers had retired, got removed for dubious reasons or simple got the 3 letters K.I.A. put next to her Name in the first year of the War. New Officers had to step in for this. Wich works exactly out as you would expect. It is....kinda understandable, that this New Fleet Commanders got overconfident after this Victory's. Some of this Commanders now knew it better, while other are now on the hunt for a mythical Creature named a Scapegoat. Luckily, there are some Levelheaded Fleet Commanders, who are more than willing to learn from this Mistakes.
