On the more modern characters I make sure to research the animals themselves. The reason she wears glasses is because skunks tend to have bad eyesight.

I tried to update Marie the Foxy a bit but her look is so iconic she looked weird with the red fur going down her nose bridge, hence I opted for a slightly different color pattern similar to what I have seen on tame/domesticated foxes.
