The Conqueror T12 main battle tank was designed by the Echerion Syndicate’s Armored Acquisitions Board specifically to address the growing issue with their engagements against the Starsect’s new Therus MBT and Baeloron HBTs. The end result required a tank armed with a heavy artillery cannon and suitable armor designed to mitigate the damage done by the magcannons high penetrator darts and slugs. The Conqueror was then born. A surprisingly low profile tank, armed with a standard issue artillery cannon for main engagements, a mid size gun for medium and light armor engagements, as well as being a viable air deterrence weapon, and finally a lightweight autocannon for anti infantry and light armor duty.

The Calaeo Pattern Conqueror was the first of the tank's line, developed by the Calaeo Heavy Industries Board, in answer to Kaine's call for a new MBT that could take on the Republic's own Therus CT-190. This is the most ubiquitous version of the Conqueror, while pricey, and generally in the hands of more refined units, the tank comes equipped with hydropnumatic suspension, a highly advanced thermal optics and targeting system, gas turbine engine, a 130mm rarefaction wave autocannon and a coaxial 30mm autocannon, with many add-on packages that are easily available for the end-user.
