As of September 2022, I've been drawing online for 10 years! To reminisce, I'm going back to look at every character I created since I started in 2012.

Here we are in the final stretch, only a small handful of characters remain. Thanks for sticking with me for this long!
I don't think I ever could have predicted Downfall catching on like she did. She was always meant to be the main villain of Insight but her role was supposed to be mostly small as the focus was supposed to be on Emily and her emotional trauma, but the more I wrote Insight the more I realized that I absolutely adored Downfall's traits and powers. Before I knew it I was drawing the comic just so I could show off how cool and... just, dreadful this character was! The main reason I returned to Insight was to give Emily closure, but being able to draw this deliciously twisted antagonist again was the highlight of the production process.
The best part is, she's not really "Dark Emily," she only looks like Emily in the comic because Emily was the host she was trying to infect. I feel like Downfall has an absolutely astounding amount of potential and she will absolutely appear again in some way, shape, or form... but it is true indeed that she will never bother Emily again.
