life is getting good again. :) my new job's starting on monday. i have a fridge, freezer, and pantry full of food for the first time in months. my friend's mom gave me a new bed, i haven't slept on a bed this nice in over 8 years (definitely an upgrade from the futon cushion, the couch, or the floor that i've been used to). i'm gonna finally have the resources to change my name legally and the company i'm gonna work for already has supported me MORE than my past few jobs. fuck, i'm even gonna be able to go back to therapy and see all of my doctors again.
my roommate and i are saving up to get out of our living situation, away from her dad who's gotten progressively shittier over time. it's been getting hard to put up with, but i've lived with much, MUCH worse. we're planning on moving close to--or even with, circumstances permitting--the rest of our friends. i've gotten a lot closer to them over the past year or so! and i'm so glad i have.
things have been so, so, so tough up until now but i'm glad it's finally coming to a close. i can rest easy. there's a way out, a way forward, and i can't wait to get there.
