everyone in the northern hemisphere is dreaming of a white Christmas...
not here. no way. by the time Christmas rolls around, Melbourne will be regularly hitting temperatures of plus 30C (86F) degrees, and its not uncommon for it to skyrocket to over 40C (104) degrees. the highest recorded temperature in Melbourne summer was 46.4C (115.5F). i know right wtf . Melbourne weather also has the tendency to go batsh*t insane, and we can have highs and lows 10 degrees apart in the window of an hour.
The state of Victoria is prone to bushfires, and we are constantly reminded on how to be safe, especially following last years 'Black Saturday', Australias most deadly disaster from bushfires.
OzFurs, especially those in VIC and SA, keep safe =)
that said, nothing beats a Christmas holiday on the beach, and don't forget the frisbee or the footy. seriously.
