An idea that came to mind, but that has unfortunately stagnated for the time being, as has my writing in general since this writer's boulder has wedged itself between my ears. I may come back and refine this at a later date, as I think it has the potential to be a backdrop for a short horror piece, but for now, I'll put it up for any of you to enjoy at your leisure.
The idea is vore, and while not technically involving "digestion", it is Hard Vore in the fact that once the prey is consumed, they are gone beyond recovery and effectively deceased. This is a bit darker/mature concept than I've generally posted, though to be honest a lot more "Adult" ideas have begun coming to mind that I feel I might need to get out, lest they continue to pester me. While nothing is explicitly mature in this excerp, the theme is still dark and this is not soft vore, as has been my usual.
Also, for those who have perused my gallery, yes, this conept shares some striking similarities to two other stories/ideas. When I get a concept in my head, I often explore multiple branching avenues of that idea, creating different stories and characters from the same base idea (an black ooze creature taking the form of a wolf and assimilating others). Each idea, however, has distinctions from the others.

Thanks! For me, I've always felt that being eaten alive was a very likely akin to being buried alive, only the former being more painful. It's also the fact that you cease to exist as well, there being no "hereafter" for the victim. The scenario of one who is vital and young knowing their demise is only moments away, knowing full well their lives are shortly coming to an end, strikes me as a definate fear factor, especially if the reader can relate to the victim before it starts, and can understand on their own primal level just what the victim is feeling emotionally.
Unfortunately, my first attempt at such a horror has sounded completely flat to my reading. However, I've been in a bit of a darker mood lately, so maybe I'll be able to pull something off. It'd be ironic if I managed to release such a story near christmas, though I have a lighthearted piece in the works for release before New Years.
