Coming from a well off merchant family, Yeva studied from a young age to hone his magic, once it manifested, training to bring out as much potential as he could through hard work and effort. Rather than joining the mage's guild, he opted to join the adventurer's guild, so he could put his skills to the test and help people, as opposed to the mages guild's preference to focus solely on studying magic rather than applying it often.

He values those who put in effort to practice and improve their talents, and finds Felix a delight to travel with, despite Felix's meek nature and skittish behavior, impressed and approving of Felix putting himself out there despite his fears to make use of his magic, and does his best to learn the coddled possum how to survive off the land proper, rather than just foraging for berries and herbs like the possum knew how to do when he began adventuring.
