Sometimes it takes being on the receiving end of that treatment to truly understand how those even smaller feel. kind of like in those comics where the macro who goes around rampaging and causing destruction just because, gets their comeuppance by somehow getting even smaller than even the individuals their tormenting. and learns that being smaller doesn't mean you're less important or less significant. and hopefully the change in perspective helps them positively become a better person, or they end up getting stomped on or eating or something👍...I think I'm starting to lose track of my point😅
Flawed characters connect more easily with our also-flawed nature, thus being more relatable. It also offers the possibility of the flawed character to evolve, either for the better or for the worst and i find that quite uncommon nowadays, sadly.
Take "Avatar The Last Airbender", Zuko's story. It's a masterpiece of character progression that you rarely see anywhere nowadays.
Also- Perfect, flawless characters quickly become boring because they are already perfect. What else to do with them?

Gosh, this is so relatable… i know exactly how he feels (being short and being a mix between caucasian& asain blood irl. I have features of both, but seemingly not enough to be considered as 1 of them. So i was bullied in the same way as Coalt… Though at least Coalt wasn’t beaten up as much as I was… ;n; ), but i am glad that he definitely became a wiser and better dragon despite all the suffering. ;w; A much better dragon than any of the other ones in this universe. ;w;

Definitely. Knowing what's it like having been bullied verbally; emotionally & physically (the first 2 sgill jappening nowadays at work...), definitely makes you not act that way towards others. Knowing that if you did, the other person wohld feel the same pain as you have felt... And you do not wish that towards anyone (aside from maybe the people who bullied you)...
......yeah. i can relate to him. Not fun times. If i could give coalt a hug id tackle them and hug them tight.
How big is coalt? Storm is 45 ft long as an eastern dragon but as an anthro he is 5'5.... its like every other dragon my oc runs into he ends up shoved aside like he isnt anything at all.....

TBH i don't know what is Coalt's exact height. Never really been the type to set sizes when it comes to my characters since im flexible with how big they can big.
Though in general (in this comic in particular) I like the idea of him being fairly small for a dragon in that setting., but still big enough that he's able to have fun with smaller creatures like wolves and kobolds.
Like what the page suggests, even 5'5 can be considered small or big, depending on who your dragon hangs around with!

*Yells out loud* IT'S CALLED EMPATHY YOU ***HOLES! *Feels relief* Oh my gosh that felt good! Not many people have it, yet it's sort out for. Similar to kindness. That and too many people have a superior complex. If I was able to, I would took some of them down a notch or two if they deserve it.
