Was doing a look at the ROTTMNT art style and trying to translate that on my old ass TMNT oc. It was kind of a challenge since her beak really can't be replaced with the simple lines the show has for the turtles , had to redraw it a bunch of times.

Anyways, here is my old tmnt oc, now rottmnt version, Kai! She's an alien from another planet whose ancestors evolved from sea turtles, for fun (also inspiration from another show I watched) was thinking sea turtles originated from space and some asteroid was a broken piece of her planet that crashed into earth and added to the earth fauna in evolving. She crash lands on earth after her escape ship blew apart from the main ship her family was on (her race is full of warrior scientists and her family worked for a company that catalogued and studied the fauna and culture of other planets to better understand different races), and she made sure to barrel towards earth since it was the only planet in the solar system that had a vast ocean full of life.

She meets the turtles after they trailed her into the hidden city where she was looking for anything to repair her ship so she could contact her brothers with a distress beacon. She's 14-15 at the start of rise and comes in some time between the beginning and middle of s1. Her race has basically super-strength and she has a special connection with using water. Her human form is a Hawaiian teenager.

Her design is based off of the Green Hawaiian Sea Turtle! I was obsessed with them in high school after I had to make a fake article for biology in tenth grade and thought to make an oc based on them.

She ends up staying on earth after her story arc of her and her family reuniting comes to a close and becomes the field researcher for earth representing her race. (she still of course is free to go home whenever since her ship gets fully restored)
