Thanks for writing, and for your interest in Faux Pas. To answer your question: no, Myrtle was not based on Lady Kluck, though that would have been a good guess! She was more closely based on the singing chickens from Disneyland's "America Sings" attraction/ride back in the mid-70s. Those chickens appeared singing "Down By The Riverside" with a couple of foxes. It seemed like the sort of gig Myrtle might have taken, so.
