And thought Stoat must be the brown-furred one in that other picture. John Stoat is a stoat, and in winter, his fur turns white. That picture of T. Matt and John Stoat happens in the winter, while the photo shoot for the Furballer cover happened during the off-seeason which is in the summer. So John Stoat has brown or white fur, depending on the season.

No worries! Actually, I'm glad you brought this up, since it does raise a point about John Stoat. You don't really see many furry characters that change colors like he does, so maybe there needs to be something more to help identify him in both his summer and winter coats.
