(Not my art) - The sincerity of one's heart
I received this extremelly adorable giftart of Uta from Kyssel, a very kind and lovely person I'm working with.
I wrote part of his lore to go along with it because it absolutely reminded me of a bit of Uta's story.
After Fuyuko (Uta's mother) is murdered in front of him, Madara has to step in to take care of Uta who was 15 at the time. Uta was always guarded and rather awkard, except for a number of ocassions in which he wasn't.

By the way: Madara is almost always in his Six Paths form in my AU, and that's the form he has throughout this story, in case you're wondering.
Madara had done everything he could to cheer his son back up after Fuyuko's passing.
Despite not having been particularly fond, or better said, not fond at all, of the woman himself, Madara knew and understood loss and grief very well.
The Sage was aware that he could not erase the memories from Uta's head, and that junk food would not fill the void the teen's mother left when she departed.
But…it was better than nothing.
He wouldn't openly admit emotions too often, for a hardened man such as him the best and most effective way to demonstrate said emotions and intentions is through actions, to Madara they speak much louder than words ever could. So the Sage wouldn't sit down and talk to his son too much about feelings, but he hoped that the indefinite break from training, his favorite foods, his temporary leave from missions and Madara’s own presence were enough to show Uta that his father cared deeply about him. Madara had no idea about how his son felt about him at the moment exactly however, but for him it was safe to assume his heartbroken son was just as guarded as he was himself, specially going through something this difficult. Madara didn't like to talk about it, but he admitted to his son to have lost his brother during war, in the hopes the teen wouldn't think all his words were just empty. Madara would never speak and not mean it.
This particular day had gone by just like the past weeks had gone by. Both Uta and his father had developed a shared routine they both got used to. Madara wasn't used to this sort of slow paced day to day, and neither was Uta, but it became a welcomed break amidst the tragedy.
They got up in the morning, Madara woke up first and got breakfast ready. Since they wouldn't be exerting each other he made a plentiful yet light breakfast and waited for his son to join him. Uta always wakes up shortly after.
After eating Uta took the first shower of the day and Madara busied himself tidying up.
When Uta came out of the shower they both got ready to go.
Spending the day in nature was refreshing. Madara knew some secret spots Uta had never seen, bodies of water, cliffs, caves with lovely views. Totally isolated, private and peaceful.
The fresh air and the smell of wet grass always lifted Uta's mood up. And if that failed his father was there to console him as best as he was able to. Uta seemed to stop crying more easily whenever Madara embraced him without saying a word. Although the young Uchiha was unable to admit it, he found the sound of his father's heartbeat and the way in which Madara buried his fingers in his hair and scratched his head while squeezing him in his hold extremely soothing, the sensations grounded him, reminding him he was not as alone in the world as he felt he was. He felt weak and vulnerable, but at the same time was aware he could completely rely on Madara to protect him.
When the sun began to set, they would usually return home, but today Madara had offered to treat Uta with some snacks before they went in for the night. Uta accepted and they both had their favorites, Madara got himself some inarizushi he saved for dinner, but Uta wanted takoyaki to snack on. They sat on a bench together as the sun set, and Uta ate his food calmly.
He seemed to be in his own world, Madara watched him just wondering what was going through the raven haired Uchiha's head besides the obvious, oftentimes the Clan’s Head wondered if he had been a good father or if his son actually loved him but just like him, just had issues showing it, when Uta suddenly looked at him in the eye and grinned as big as physically possible.
"I love you dad!" Was all that he said before looking away and eating another octopus ball.
The Sage couldn’t hide the surprise creeping up his features, but his son didn’t get to see it, he composed himself quickly, however. “Dad, huh” he thought, as Uta would only call him father, and never dad, but Madara did not mind this, at all.
