The Pendulum swings backwards.
Time, moves in reverse, at lightning speed.
Although the story of Kingdom Hearts Union Cross: Afterstory has been taking place in the present, we will stop temporarily, and turn back to the past. Back to the time when everyone was together. Back when the party and team known as “Galactic Star” were fully formed group. Back when everyone had found themselves in Daybreak Town. Back, to the Age of Fairy Tales.
Two months had passed since the new residents of Daybreak Town had found themselves in this new and Unknown World. One of these new residents was a now former Queen of a Kingdom she once ruled. Being with a party that took her in, she had only just walked away in anger from her team’s residence after stumbling upon the truth of them handing and dumping their responsibilities towards her, as to make their jobs very minimal to non-existent.
Finding herself at the Fountain Square, the former Queen took a seat on one of the many benches near the fountain, wanting to have some time to clear her head and what to do next. However, at the same time, she had spotted a young man, who had dawned a black coat, and was accompanied by his companion Chirithy. Not wanting to get caught up in the problems the man might have, the former Queen avoided any type of eye contact with them, and kept her thoughts to herself. But this was when she could hear the man speak to Chirithy, and learned about him being the leader of a party, and having trouble. From what the former Queen could hear, the man had doubts in himself in regards to being a leader, with a couple of new recruits stirring up and causing trouble from within the group, and resulting in a member in the party to try and start a mutiny. Despite the attempted mutiny being foiled, the end result left with the two members who stirred up trouble leaving, and the man to have second thoughts of who else in the group felt the same way of him not being competent. Even though she knew it was none of her business, the former Queen couldn’t help but continue to listen in, wondering why this man’s situation had perked her with such interest? And why did she feel bad for him? That was when the realization came to her. She was fed up with the party she was currently in, so why not join a new one? It was then and there, the former Queen got up from the bench she was sitting on, and approached the young man with his Chirithy.
Queen: Excuse me, young man. Mind if I sit down with you?
Being taken by surprise by the approach of a mysterious woman, the young man could only smile, and gestured that she could sit if she like. Smiling back at him, the former Queen took a seat on the bench, introducing herself. Her name was Erzebet, and she was a Queen to a Kingdom she once ruled before finding herself in Daybreak Town. This gave her the title of those who knew her “The Queen who had lost everything”. She had continued to say to the young man that she had heard about his current situation, and apologized about her ease dropping. But she went on to say that she didn’t believe he was a bad leader, and only needed guidance on how to be a good leader from someone. That was when she had asked the question.
Erzebet: What I want to ask is. Can I join your party?
Hearing this proposal, the young man happily agreed, as the two of them shook one another’s hands, making it official.
Young Man: Welcome to the party, Erzebet. And let me start by saying. My name is Oliver. And Welcome to Galactic Star.
Erzebet: Thanks for having me, Oliver. That really takes a lot of weight from my current situation.
The two of them smiled at each other, with Erzebet being welcomed to a new party with open arms, and Oliver getting a new party member, and she was a Queen.
Once again I would like to give my sincerest apologies for the long delay of this chapter. This chapter wound up taking a lot longer than initially expected, but I do hope that the wait was worth it for those who have been reading my story :) . And in the end this is one of the longest chapters to-date. In the end, it takes place back in the Age of Fairy Tales :) . The last time this part of the story was visited was back when Gavin was introduced back in 2019. Quite a long time ;) . I do hope all of you enjoy reading this chapter :) .
