A curious human had been hearing about these "TF hoops" for a while now and figured he'd see what all the fuss was about. Sure he'd heard of people getting stuck, but as long as he was careful, he could just pop his head through and back out, or maybe even take it for a spin for a few hours if the resulting animal was small enough. Little did he know there were some... interesting side effects if the body plan displacement resulted in both the original head and the new head existing at the same time...
This is very much a "I'm back on my bs" commission, haha. To borrow the words of the artist, "[It's] sort of a replacement tf. since the dragon is a lot bigger, the hoop tf can start before the human is even in/through it bc of the size differential." Better than I could do, heh.
Is the dragon the human's inner self? Some spirit/evildoer trapped in the ring that's finally managed to escape with the help of this schmuck? A simple shell of a body given personality by the programming of the ring? I'll leave it up to your own interpretation~
