One day my brother just came to me and said: "Will you draw me a gothic scenery concept? You know, gothic castles with much ornamentation, some tenebrous night landscape, etc....?" Now, up to this day I am still not very much into concepts, but anyway, I sat in my armchair, made a quick sketch and then started drawing it on my PC. It took quite a lot of time, but only because I had exams meanwhile, and then I kinda forgot about it. But here it is, finally finished, and I like how it turned out. It's the first thing like this I do. But I hope you like it.

On the technical part of it, I learned quite a lot while drawing this, perhaps much more than with any other digital picture I've ever done so far. I tried many different things, had truckloads of fun.... and well, that's another reason why I feel satisfied now.

Done entirely on Ps CS4. Original size: 2000x1200
No reference, although I spent some time studying gothic architecture in order to draw the ornaments.
