Mammallings, are actually a Splatoon 3 what if concept of mine that I decided to turn into a fan made Splatoon species. They're basically inklings with mammal features and a form based off of the same mammal that the features come from. For example, Mammalling Dusky is a fox mammalling, meaning that they have fox features like fox ears, nose, tail, feet (Optional, but possible), and face pattern. Along with him having a fox form instead of a squid form. Another note is that mammallings still have the same abilities as inklings, but have also gained an immunity to water.
