In an undisturbed section of the ancient remains of the former Wari Empire, an extremely old woman keeps watch. This woman is Llashapoma, empress since about 620 AD. She's the only one still living there, but she doesn't mind, and as a result of this, she lives a very peaceful life. Llashapoma has reached an ascended state, technically human but still something transcending mere humanity and possessing immense power. She can lift humongous amounts of weight, cast incredible spells, and even see visions of future that may be. She did her best to let others handle the supernatural threat causing the strange weather patterns and sudden rise of monster attacks, at most offering advice to a couple of brave fighters who managed to find her after setting out on their own quests, but after seeing many potential futures where every last eligible contestant dies, along with futures where the ones with dark intentions are victorious, she knew that she couldn't just longer sit on the sidelines and hope for the best. It was time for her to finally leave her comfort zone and set out to hopefully defeat the eldritch abomination that has descended upon the world.
