With the winter approaching I thought it might be nice to get a new user icon, and 
aylastardragon was doing these animated icon commissions, soooo...
Instead of snow, I asked her to do me a windmill in the background. What can I say, I'm a proud Dutchman! Came out absolutely lovely, I think.

Hmm, snow in the southern tip of Florida? :)
Actually, one plot element that never made it into Maranatha or Heathen City was that the city experienced anomalous climate patterns quite frequently, including several instances of snowfall.
Still, in modern Maranatha, after the Fall threw up a plume of deadly white powder... it's always a white christmas in the dead city.

*laughs* Heathen City as in..the story, not the city itself. Plenty of snowfall in some of the locations you have taken the readers so far.
