By who?

A little 10 year old boy who I've seen grow up from just a little baby. This little boy brings a smile to my face every day I see him and see how much he's growing, and yet I also see how much he struggles.

Ya see, his mom is a single parent raising both he and his sister- who is turning 5 in January. Their house is so old it lacks central heating- they still have a kerosene heater which is too expensive and dangerous to run. I visited him again this evening, his mom was out somewhere with his sister, and he was left with his uncle who's only a few years older than him. The kid was bundled up in two hoodies and pants and shivering.

He handed this paper to me and said "I was thinking of you so I drew this for you," and he had the cutest shyest smile on his face. x3

I love the boy to death, and I'm thinking of getting him a sketchbook for christmas. :)
