i just had a few ideas.
A put a plastic skeleton inside yourself, like "this is what happened to the last person that wore me."
keeping yourself zipped up, people might not even realize that you are indeed a wearable item.
could also fill yourself with various, just to add some weight, maybe make a small "bladder" (that is what a water holder is called) that is your shape, so people don't just flatten you when if they hug you.

Another idea get some stuffing and fill yourself up with it, imagine what it would feel like.
Also being fabric, might want to sew in some interior pockets to hold items, might as embrace the hallow space, technically could put your wallet and phone in your headspace.
