Glory, Page Twenty-Two
<<< PREV | FIRST | NEXT >>>
Glory is the first big collaboration between
foxenawolf and myself. She does the linework, and I make it a comic. Basically I draw the panels and do the toning and shading and tweak and move and wiggle people around and just comic it up. I also write the script.
I tried to figure out how Sam's tendrils work. He basically manipulates shadow and despite it being daytime, if there is sunlight that means there's shadow. Grains of sand cast shadow, and he can use them to make grains of sand into LANCES of sand. I also figured the sand would be a little stained after... well.. you know.
I felt this page was lacking something when I first toned it up and then remembered the reader needed a little reminder that Samuel was still there in the carriage and is still very dangerous despite it being daytime. Anyone who thinks they can catch a old vampire by just cornering them during daylight hours is bound to learn some very important lessons that they might or might not be able to pass along latter.
Trivia: This is the last of the 'Gen uses nothing but the airbrush tool' pages after Fox sat me down and schooled me for a bit on coloring with clipstudio. You'll notice some improvements and changes in the next pages as I got my groove.
