i think bu lives somewhere not too far from a town, and at some point was convinced that if it was willing to carry travelers to the next town along the shore and NOT eat them, it could get more/repeat customers and ultimately gain more than one meal. the cost is whatever catches its interest at the time. travelers avoid any bandits lurking the roadways and if a persons willing to get wet, trotting along the cliffs and through outflows on a seadrake is safer than the road, with the ocean as a worst case escape plan.

i started this last week and got horribly distracted, and also should maybe have more bipedal characters so i dont stall out and leave Placeholder Guys in things. oh well. maybe ill come back and edit it.
