A trick with necromancy, casting a spell on some bones that when tossed, explode on there enemy. Also you could get clever and bobby trap some skeletons that way, then animate the skeletons to go attack your enemies. ;)

I noticed the mistake when I added the text.
Could have changed it but a rapier wouldn't look like much more than a toothpick for a gryphon. :P

Well if you want to know, heraldry and mythology wise, gryphons have always been protectors and defenders. Having one on your herald was rare, as it meant you showed mercy and honor during combat with your enemies. Dragons just ment your castle was one of the ones that held part of the kingdom treasury. As such was more common.
