What's worse is that it's clearly the kind of secret that in real life, has been currently ALMOST 18 YEARS in the making, so all of us can only imagine just how much shit IS going to hit the fan and how hard.

2 years is still plenty of time for inevitable backlash to build up and hit everyone, once secret shit hits the fan. Also, really? It's been less than 2 years only in the Las Lindas timeline? How can YOU really tell?

Because when you put together the timeline of events and the fact that it's known that Digit is a little over a year old since activation, it tells us less than two years have passed since the beginning of the comic, page 1 having taken place in spring and the comic now being set two falls later. But since the makers of this comic can't keep track of their stuff because they don't keep notes or use their own work as reference, they keep making it seem like far, far more time has gone by.

Oh boy. No wonder Minos was trying to take it easy at the farm. He honestly wished that things weren't so cloak/dagger. Ultimately, I hope this arc shows that the system is NOT WORKING. Above all, why the heck IS this Crest business such a secret? Is there somebody or something that could take advantage of the secret being broken?

Theory: It's the humans that are still salty that their planet is mostly taken up by primes nowadays. I've seen how bad people can get when they feel that they're being 'replaced'...

i think part of the reason is the faction know as Anti Primes. Morra's father is or was a Anti Prime.
but we've only seen one active Anti Prime in A Knighthood comic actually cause any problems...

Anti-Prime? Yeah, Chalo's going to have to expand on that. I suppose they're an anarchist group. Still, it would be fascinating to see humans among that deal, considering that it kinda seemed too easy for them to live and let live with the fact that the war against the Emperor resulted in the PLANET GETTING BLOWN UP AND REBUILT AGAIN WITH HUMANS AS THE MINORITY.

It just seemed too good to be true after the fact. Maybe that's the cynic in me talking, but still.

Humans aren't the minority, the comic takes place on a new continent that was formed for the Primes to have a place where they ARE the majority and can largely ignore the rest of the world.

In this webcomic series that can jump its tone and setting from ordinary to hilarious to a (sometimes pretty literal) drama bomb or two, it does indeed happen quite a bit.
