Well, what do you do when your character has no mouth to help convey expressions, as well as only one eye?
Pretty simple really. You milk the one eye for all it's worth.

Either way, expression experiments on this page. Manipulation of the eye, along with subtle tweaks of her freckles and positioning of her extended shoulders help a lot to convey what she's feeling. Plus along the bottom, you get a few concept and anatomy sketches.

I actually had this issue with an actual Beldum character I had one time. I had to invent single-eye emoticons.
