Finally, after 20 years, she gets to enjoy her sandwich.
I was indifferent to Star Fox for a while but several weeks ago I decided to play through Star Fox Adventures for the first time, in spite of one review I saw many years before. It turned out to be a great game, I loved it way more than I expected to, and I love Krystal, too.
One of the main reasons I closed the earlier donation drive was because I couldn't stand the idea of putting her in fetish art anymore. After what she endured in Adventures, Command, etc, she deserves happiness. I've had this same feeling with many characters lately...
I'm hoping to draw her more. I love Fox and Krystal as a pair, and since their story pretty much ends after only three games, I've been trying to find fanfics to fill the Krystal content I've been craving. And I've read through some wonderful fics so far, so I might try and draw some fanart for them at some point, if I can.
My art motivation hasn't been like this in literal years. It's too early for me to explain everything that's going on, but I hope you enjoy this art and whatever comes after it.

I don't know If you realize this, but for the longest time on DA, the top result for "Inflation" was an image of Krystal looking at a computer screen shocked and dropping her sandwich with the text "Inflation Art - Prevents the enjoyment of sandwiches". Yet here she is able to enjoy it again. It's come full circle.
So glad you agree! I wasn't expecting to get so attached, but she's one of my favorite characters now. Although the fanfics I've been reading might have affected that... not sure if that counts. Oh well.

I had no idea Adventures was your fav game, but I'm understanding it better now that I revisited your Twitter! I may have only become a fan recently but I intend on staying that way. There's so much I want to draw of the series now. Hopefully even some fanart of the stories I've been checking out.

Two, technically. Star Fox Command was so tremendously poorly received that Nintendo basically decided 98% of the game's content is no longer considered canon and any future game actually picking up the story again will start from where Assault left off.

Easily the worst and most idiotic ones were the "Kursed" ending (fun fact, btw, in the Japanese version she didn't change her name and Fox still didn't recognize her) and the one where poorly redesigned Katt convinces Falco to ditch Star Fox and start a new team with her and Andross' nephew or whoever the new monkey was. And the "G-Zero" one existed only for the sake of being a reference, and it hits even worse now that we've gone nearly TWENTY YEARS without an F-Zero game that matters.
If anything, I can see them keeping the new characters that were introduced if a proper new game is ever made, because they're like Silver the Hedgehog, good ideas unfortunate enough to make their debut in a terrible game. And I really hope Marcus is one of the ideas they keep.

To be fair, the game was released in 2006 and emo was popular back then. The idea of changing your name, wearing all black and entering a goth/emo phase as a way to break up with someone would not have been out of the ordinary. Now that it's over, it's just as idiotic as it was in 2006.

It is nice to see another artists who decides not to make fetish arts of Krystal. There is so much of it out there and so little arts that shows Krystal as a person.
And I fully agree - she deserves happines. Honestly I love the idea of Fox and Krystal settling down in the end, and that their son Marcus will start third generation of Team Star Fox.
