Hello! Well it is a story I am working on at the moment and the truth is that only one of the kids survive (rabbits are know to have a few kids each time, that doesn't change here) and it is barely clinging to life as all he can do is hope and pray that his only son survive

Oh, I see. I guess that makes more sense.
I was of the thinking that the the king was upset because the baby was a girl and not the son he needed to inherit the throne.
Of course, I might be a little biased because I recently watched that old movie "Anne of the Thousand Days" followed immediately by "The Private Life of Henry VIII".
