"You there, come...join me." Whisper beckons you into her abode. You make sure to properly thank her as you take off your shoes and step inside, following her into her private study-
You look around the room before taking a seat on one of the many oversized floor pillow the room, trying not to make a speculate of yourself as you get comfortable and situated. She poured herself a cup of tea, offering you a cup as well. You politely declined...for obvious reasons. You were here on business, not pleasure. That and she was an assassin- even if she was technically off the clock, you were still wary of her intentions. You knew better.
Apparently she picked up on your apprehension as she started to laugh at you, "Smart man; it's wise not to trust everyone." Her eyes locked onto yours as she said that...as if she knew. You couldn't help but shudder as her lavender eyes pierced into yours-
"So you want to hire me for a job? Interesting. Of course you realize my services do not come cheap- or without consequences."
Wait, "consequences?" What kind of consequences?! Her smile widened once more- she was enjoying watching your reaction as you squirmed at her words. You were starting to wonder if you made a mistake in coming here-
You were aware that she was a bit pricey, though that part did not phase you considering why you were hiring her. You patted your right pocket, feeling the hefty wallet full of money: you came prepared after speaking to certain people about her services and fees, hoping your research in advance would impress her. Yet hearing there were consequences to hiring her...
"Kidding, of course. I will handle everything...if you are willing to pay of course." Making smoke rings with her kiseru, she continued to eye you, as if she is trying to gauge your reaction. With a nod, you started to reach for your wallet before she stopped you-
"Ah. Tell me your situation first, then we can discuss payment. Though I am pleased you came prepared and ready to pay...kudos." She said before taking another sip of tea. Once more, she offered you a cup of tea, only for you to politely decline. She shrugged and listened, her ears occasionally twitching. She seemed intrigued by your situation.
With a heavy sigh and clearly frustrated, you plead for her help, stating money is no object; you just wanted your problem taken care of. No one else would dare try to take out them out, not even for the money you were offering to pay-
Except Whisper. She seemed to take pleasure in hunting "hard to kill" or highly sought after individuals. As if it were a game to her.
As you spoke, you noticed she was now looking out the window; she seemed to be admiring the cherry blossom trees in the horizon as the summer breeze blew at their branches. But rather, she was just thinking, before her attention turning back to you, "Very well. I will take care of it...tomorrow. Today I am resting. You are lucky I decided to speak to you on my off day, but considering your circumstances..." she paused, her tone somewhat concerned, "I will handle it."
Letting out a huge sigh of relief, you rush to her and offer her a hug her in gratitude!
...only to have a very sharp katana stopping you in your tracks, its blade pointed right at your throat. You flinch, trying your best to back away...very slow without provoking her.
Lost in the moment, you forgot she is not the affectionate type. You immediately apologize, stating you were merely overcome with happiness knowing she was going to take care of your situation. You hoped she would not hold it against you.
Grinning, she put her blade away and motioned you to leave. Your time was up; she was ready to be left alone again. With a nod, you left her payment on the table, in clear eyesight, making sure to thank her once more before walking out the door. You felt...relieved.
Returning her gaze to the outside, Whisper watched as you left her premises, "Poor fool. He better hope he lives through tonight. He messed with the wrong yakuza." With a sigh, she got up and reluctantly got ready to get dressed and head out for the evening. She already had a plan, timeframe, and ETA on how long it would take to complete said mission.
She KNEW exactly whom you were dealing with...you weren't going to live much longer if she didn't step in- so much for a relaxing day off~
It was nice day while it lasted! Oh well, haha. She tried, but even on her off days, people have a knack of bothering Whisper. She just picks and chooses whom she is willing to tolerate (Translation: for the right price, she is will to put up with you...maybe).
A lovely piece of Whisper enjoying a quiet, summer afternoon to herself....well was. An assassin's life is never really peaceful for long, but that is the price one pays to hunt down scum.
