I'm a bit jealous. I wouldn't want the horniness and it's not my first choice, but becoming a thicc gator girl would be neat, not to mention very fitting. But instead, all I got from moving to Florida was a perpetual mild case of heat stroke and some occasional nasty allergies.
I'm not too bothered by the snowbirds, at least in downtown Orlando. They usually go to Miami, Tampa or one of the various beach towns. And the mosquitoes are mainly an issue in the everglades.
But holy shit on a brick are the drivers bad here. And it's definitely not just the tourists, since I see it even in the non-touristy areas like the West Colonial area, both hospitals in Orlando, the various medical clinics in Dr. Philips and even out in Dundee and Bithlo.

Yeah, I definitely do agree with you that the drivers in the whole state is terrible.
However, I never knew that downtown Orlando is so dead. I'm from, like you said, a beach town and when it's "winter", you will see so many people from New York, Chicago and especially Ohio here. And the mosquitoes in my area depends a lot. Some areas are flooded with them and others none. I guess this applies to Orlando too. :)

I wouldn't really call downtown Orlando "dead". The central downtown area gets a decent amount of tourists going to Universal and Sea World (the Disney crowd tends to stay on Disney property), and the club district's actually pretty lively. But it's more of a mix of the above Universal/Sea World/FunSpot crowd and the locals than anything.
