This is what happens when I watch some sappy love music vids on youtube late at night. Behold a new species which in classic StarTrek manner is mostly humanoid. XD
"I guess we have a pretty easy life in most ways. Being High Cast Verkin. Our species once had a great empire spanning our world. Then one day a plague swept across it. We weren't near prepared for it. Most of the High Cast died. We High Cast have special abilities. We can move things with our minds and sense the thoughts of others. Some powerful ones have other abilities." Said the older boy from the picture as he looked at it.
"So I take it you and Leoice are brothers Prince Enaril?" Asked the Sokee journalist.
"Not by blood no. I found Leoice playing in a part in a section of the city that was still in ruins. He had a ball and a broken soldier toy he was floating around. I think he was maybe five or six then. I think I was about 12. I was amazed. We hadn't found any other High cast in a long time. And believe me new Democratic reconstructive government was looking. High Cast are the only ones that can operate some of the left over tech from before the plagues." Enaril explained.
"So your cast is essential to rebuilding. But do you hold a higher standing in your society. The term High Cast makes it sound like your cast held itself above the others." The Sokee journalist asked curiously.
"Before the plagues High cast did. Not anymore though. My position as a 'Prince' is pretty much a figure head. My parents essentially serve to rally other High Cast tot he cause of rebuilding. Anyway back to my story. Once I saw Leoice was high cast I smiled and floated over a few rocks to orbit the ball. He looked over to me in shock. He didn't think anyone else could do that." Enaril laughed remembering the look on his face.
"Nope I didn't. it was a really big shock. Most of the other kids on the street thought I was a freak cuz I could do it." Leoice laughed and gave Enaril a warm brotherly hug as he walked in.
"We played the rest of the day. When Leoice told me he didn't have a family or a home. Well that kinda settled it for me. I brought him home with me and well we're officially brothers for three years now." Enaril nodded.
"Thank you very much for telling us at Galactic Daily News your story. Are there any final words either of you would like to give for our viewers?" The Sokee once more asked.
"You don't need a blood relationship to call someone family." Enaril told the floating camera droid as he stood next to his brother with an arm around him.
Well hope you guys enjoyed the story and the pic.
