She Is My Mission Now
A little over twenty years ago, I heard a calling. I answered that calling, and it became my mission. It took me around the world. The people I loved most couldn't come with me.
She waited for me. She promised me she'd be there on the pier whenever I returned. She always was. She is with me still.
The universe provides various callings to all of us, if we're willing to be receptive and listen to them. The missions we undertake are determined by our values, our perspectives, and our identity.
I went around the world without her. Now I want her to be my world. The calling from twenty years ago has been muted; that mission is complete.
She is my mission now.
