After discovering where his missing boyfriend, Jake Juma, had gone to, the hyena reappears in bad shape alongside the brutal villain Crusher, who had thoroughly roughed him up over the last 24 hours. After Jake is safely spirited away by EMTs, Benevolence removes his mask, his gloves, his cape, as much of his Super Suit as he can - his identity had already been revealed by Crusher at this point, anyway. This was no longer going to be a battle of superhero vs. villain, of Benevolence vs. Crusher. This was going to be a fight between Graham Greene and some loser in a metal suit.

I had this image in my head for a while of Benevolence facing off against big bad guy Crusher (or some similar name), who had, against orders, decided to make things personal. The ensuing fight is brutal and violent, and Graham discovers that he had barely scratched the surface of what his powers are truly capable of. He'll emerge from the fight a different lion, one that could even potentially kick a white-furred bodybuilder in the unmentionables.
